Collectively, they support circa 1,000 children by providing after school and school holiday clubs.

During the summer of 2018 they received food provision from FareShare East Midlands during the school holidays.
We had around 150-170 kids on site daily and this was replicated across the 9 adventure playgrounds in Leicester. In total we were able to provide around 26,000 meals over this summer. The link up with FareShare East Midlands has been phenomenal! Kevin - Highfields Adventure Playground.

Many of the children had never tried the fruit such as melon before, they loved it! Jo - New Parks Play Association
It is such a great scheme for children and families. After closing, the families would have struggled for food. It has a huge impact on the community and we didn’t realise the need was this large. Max - Goldhill Play Association

The meals we provided were the only meals some of the children had each day. Kuljit Walia - St Matthews Children’s Action Group

The food from FareShare made a huge difference to our organization; many of the children would just go hungry if we were not able to feed them. We wouldn’t be able to give out free food without the service from FareShare.
We see a significant difference in the children after they eat; they are a lot more energetic and interaction with other children and the staff improves greatly. Some families have noticed the positive impact on their children’s wellbeing whilst having access to healthy food 5 days a week.
