While we don’t usually provide food directly to individuals, we work with a network of local charities and community groups across the Midlands who can help. We can point you in the right direction to find support near you.
A simple way to access fresh surplus food
We’ve recently introduced Fresh Picks Pantries - weekly, pop-up pantries in Leicester and Birmingham where individuals and families can access surplus fresh food.
These sessions offer a selection of fresh fruit and vegetables, and occasionally cupboard items, all sourced from surplus that might otherwise go to waste.
Fresh Picks Pantries are open to everyone - there’s no referral or sign-up required.
Just drop in during opening hours and see what’s available.
The food comes from the same trusted suppliers we work with every day, including major supermarkets and local producers, so you can expect good quality, fresh items.
Our priority will always be supporting charities and community organisations.
Fresh Picks Pantries are designed to make sure that any surplus food we can’t redistribute through our network still reaches people - rather than going to waste.
