Swedish electric car brand Polestar recently opened its new retail Space at the Touchwood Centre, Solihull by hosting a launch event with a sustainable twist. Guests, including members of the media, were asked to bring a tote bag of non-perishable food, which was then matched by Polestar and donated to FareShare Midlands.

The food redistribution charity is aiming to raise £10,000 in matched funding, to deliver 40,000 meals to people in the Midlands struggling with the rising cost of food and energy. By using surplus food in this way, FareShare Midlands will also stop 17 tonnes of food from being wasted.
