Retailer & Brand Authorisations

Preventing food waste occurs in the supply chain.

We know that the majority of food waste occurs in the supply chain. That’s why we want to make it as easy as possible for manufacturers and hauliers to donate good quality surplus food to us and feed people in need.

We also recognise the importance to the brands that their products are handled safely and that the food is used only for the charitable purposes intended. Manufacturers often ask whether brands are happy for own label products to be donated to FareShare.

Therefore we’ve created this page with our brand and retail partners as an easy way to check. The brands listed below all authorise their own-label products to be sent to FareShare for onward charity redistribution and agree with the following statement:

“We are committed to helping our suppliers reduce food waste and we support them in their efforts to feed people first with edible surplus food. For this reason, we authorise our suppliers to donate our own-label surplus product, without the need to de-package, to FareShare, which operates a traceable, safe and secure way to redistribute own-label edible surplus food to thousands of frontline charities and community groups feeding those in need across the UK.”
