We've partnered with Veafy to bring you a unique, African-inspired, plant-based experience which means that for every order received, 25p is donated to FareShare Midlands, providing a meal for a person in need!

At FareShare Midlands we are excited to announce our new partnership with Veafy – a 100% plant-based ready meals business bringing African-inspired dishes to the mainstream, founded by one of our former volunteers, Tendai Taruvinga.

FareShare Midlands is an organisation close to Tendai’s heart, as he volunteered with us during the coronavirus pandemic last year.

“I loved it at FareShare – it was great not only to gain experience in the food industry, but also to be out on the front line, delivering meals and helping people getting through the challenges of the pandemic. It was such a difficult time for so many people, but I was happy to be out supporting local communities.”

During his time at FareShare Midlands, Tendai was also working hard on the launch of his own business; Veafy.

“This business was born out of my love of cooking, and my desire to make the vegan lifestyle more accessible. I launched the ‘Mac and More’ pasta dish and a Pan-African curry last November, but since then I have created 7 new dishes which I hope you will love. I’m looking forward to sharing the delights of traditional African recipes from across the continent, to help bring this cuisine to the mainstream!”

For every order made on veafy.co.uk, Tendai has pledged to donate 25p to FareShare Midlands, to help us in our mission to fight hunger, tackle food waste and create opportunities for the vulnerable in society.

We are so grateful for his incredible support and can’t wait for you to try some of his delicious dishes!
