Our drivers are the vital link between us and our charity members.
As a driver, you will drop off the weekly orders of food at local charities and collect surplus from food businesses with the help of a driver's assistant.
You will be the friendly face of FareShare Midlands, interacting with our members and making sure they get the food they need. You will work with other volunteers to load up the van each day before you head out.
Our drivers reach all across the Midlands to help save good quality surplus food from going to waste! They help us delivery food to our network of community organisations and charities.
Volunteering as a driver for FareShare Midlands has been incredibly rewarding. Each week, I deliver surplus food to local charities and collect from businesses to combat food insecurity. Witnessing the impact on community centers and shelters highlights the importance of our mission.
