Raising funds is a great way to involve your colleagues, friends and family in a cause you believe in.

Whether it's running a marathon, taking part in a sponsored challenge, or holding a bake sale, there are plenty of ways to fundraise for FareShare Midlands - either on your own, in a group with friends, or with colleagues at work!

Every pound you raise will help us distribute 4 meals and put good food to good use. More than 1 million children live in poverty in the Midlands. Your fundraising will mean we can continue to get good food to vulnerable people experiencing food insecurity at a time when they need it most..

  • Just Giving: go to these wonderful people and they will handle the donation for us – if you want to host and event or run for us (perhaps climb a large mountain or swim a vast ocean – or even sit in a bath of surplus baked beans (which would be a shame as we could use them to feed some of our many beneficiaries) – you can run the fundraising through Just Giving
  • Cash donations at one of our warehouses: why not visit us, volunteer and make a donation. Contact our Volunteer Team for more information – or just let us know you have a donation and we will arrange to see you at the warehouse.

Your donation will help us feed hungry families across the Midlands – every £1 will help us distribute 4 meals.

When you raise £1 you provide 4 meals for people in the Midlands who are struggling to find the food they need to feed themselves and their families. EVERY £1 MAKES A DIFFERENCE! We are also looking for support through donations of food and donations of other goods and services that will help us fulfil our Mission, but we are also looking at how we fund other things like our electricity, gas and water bills, our vehicles and our warehouses. We pay our staff too, so if you were to find a way to fund a particular member of staff that would be great too because every £1 we spend on these things which form part of our operations is 4 meals we are not providing.

Are you a business looking to use our logo? Please get in touch with our corporate fundraising team to discuss this further.

We are very fortunate to have lots of incredible people and events supporting us at FareShare Midlands, and we of course would love to shout about absolutely everyone. To do you the justice you deserve by getting the most out of our social media, please contact our Comms Team and they can work out how best to make the most of your amazing efforts.

Gift Aid is a government scheme that allows us to claim 25p for every £1 you give at no extra cost. For your donation to be eligible for Gift Aid, you must be a UK taxpayer and complete a Gift Aid declaration. You can do this by:

  • Ticking the Gift Aid box when you donate online.
  • Filling out our Gift Aid Declaration Form if you’re planning to donate via bank transfer or cheque.

Once you complete your declaration, FareShare Midlands can claim Gift Aid on donations in the future, and those made by you within the past 4 years. Please make sure to let us know if there are any changes to your taxpayer status, address or name, as this may impact your declaration. If you are running an event and want to know more about Gift Aid – or have any Gift Aid queries - please contact the Fundraising Team.
